Happy Grandparents Day 2020
Thank you for joining us for this virtual edition of Grandparents Day at Calvary Schools!
We love this day and the special opportunity it gives us to celebrate our grandparents and grandfriends. Grandparents Day has always been about “togetherness”. We gather together with our grandparents at school with songs, play time, gifts, and class time. Then, we often gather together for a special family lunch or dinner after noon dismissal.
This year, Grandparents Day will be different, but we want to maintain the heart of this special day — to honor, appreciate, and enjoy our grandparents. We have prepared some songs and recitations, handmade gifts, and an art gallery for your whole family.
We hope families can enjoy taking in this presentation together, followed by a special portfolio weekend where students take joy in showing their journals and classwork to their grandparents. For grandparents who live some distance away, a phone call, Facetime, Zoom, etc. would also be a nice opportunity to connect.
We hope you enjoy these special presentations from our students and staff.

Choir Presentations
It wouldn’t be Grandparents Day without the traditional singing of “Happy Grandparents Day”. We hope you enjoy our elementary students’ 2020 version!
All elementary, middle school, and high school students have been practicing “America, The Beautiful” as part of their choir classes this year. Our choir director, Dr. Trent Broussard, used wonderful creativity in recording all of these students singing “together”.
